First Church of Scripture

This small but respected church includes shrines to Lankormy, a widely-known god of knowledge, truth and literacy who is worshipped alongside the Invisible God as one of His sanctified lieutenants. It is also associated with the monastic Order of Saint Urdin and has strong links with the Imperial College of Syran.

The First Church of Scripture claims to have been the first of the churches in Safelster to replace the erroneous pagan worship of entities such as Lankormy with the enlightened practices now prevalent in Syran. It was certainly a founding member of the Ecumenical Communion and was instrumental in the adoption of the principle of Subsidiarity as one of its fundamental precepts.

The church places great value on literacy, and all worshippers are taught how to read and write. They may also learn the Common Magic feats and spells listed in Other Magic below as described in the Lords Temporal common religion.
