Church of Inspiration

Popular with Syran's musicians, artists and artisans, this small church has strong ties with the local chapter of the School of the Sacred Image. It has just one congregation and has only recently been accepted into the Ecumenical Communion. It is still regarded with disdain by some of the older churches, however, and by the more respectable members of the city's artistic community.

There are two reasons for this. Firstly, the church is indiscriminate in welcoming worshippers with creative interests, including those from the fringes of acceptable society, such as low entertainers. Secondly, it includes an equally indiscriminate variety of shrines, honouring musical and other creative deities from a variety of different cultures. These practices have led some to accuse the church of using the inclusive doctrines of the Communion to dignify straightforward paganism.

Amongst all of the shrines, the one to Donandar attracts the most diligent attention, and many of the congregation know some of his Right and Left Hand talents. See Heroquest p.111 for details.
