After defeating his great nemesis Gbaji, Arkat returned to Safelster and ruled over its peoples in peace for the rest of his life. This church reveres the hero in this guise, as Great Arkat, and proudly regards itself as a living legacy of the empire that was founded by his heirs. As a member of the Ecumenical Communion of Syran it is expected to recognise the dominions of the Lords Temporal, but the worship of these entities is considered demeaning.
This church is popular amongst the nobility, especially amongst those proud Houses who can trace their lineage back to the time of the Autarchy. It is less popular in the lower echelons of society, who generally find it rather elitist and its teachings disturbingly reminiscent of those of the dour Rokari church. Servants in the older Houses are often compelled to join its congregations, however, and its bishop remains one of the most powerful voices on the Ecclesiastical Council.
