Paslac was the last Autarch, martyred by the Return To Rightness Crusade in 740. Chapters of his order are found throughout Safelster, and its adherents are taught to follow their saint's valorous example. In Syran, Paslac is remembered as a strong and serious ruler who tirelessly defended his Empire against the enemies who ultimately destroyed it. His arms, a golden lion on a red and black chequered background, are often adopted by knights of the order. Iconographers conventionally portray him as a handsome man with curly blonde hair and a noble bearing.
This is the most popular of Syran's orders, and welcomes suitable members from any of the indigenous churches. It is the closest that Syran has to centralised standing army, and its members are only rivalled by those of the Order of Arkat the Great in their domination of the city's military elite.
Applicants must normally be Soldiers by birth, or be sponsored by an existing member of the order. Most go on to become knights.
